It depends on the shade. Bright orange is usually best on one feature wall, but softer terracotta, apricot and rust are earthy enough to cover a whole room, especially with cream trim and natural timber. If you are unsure, start with a pattern that mixes orange with neutrals.
Terracotta loves cream, sand and warm white for a calm, sun-baked look. Olive and sage green feel natural, while deep teal and navy create striking contrast. Add clay pots, rattan, linen and warm timber, and use black accents sparingly to sharpen the scheme.
Rust and burnt orange suit lounges, dining rooms, studies and kitchens, where their warmth makes a space feel sociable. Softer peach and apricot designs work well in bedrooms and nurseries. Because orange glows under warm bulbs, check your chosen design in the room visualiser first.
Yes. Choose Peel & Stick and you can add a terracotta or rust feature wall, then remove it when you move out. It's repositionable during installation, which makes lining up a tile or stripe pattern easier too.
