Ceiling Wallpaper

Ceiling wallpaper is an often overlooked way to transform a room, and our collection is all about looking up. These designs bring the sky indoors with soft blue skies and drifting clouds, sunset gradients, starry night scenes, constellations and celestial maps. A cloud ceiling makes a nursery or child’s bedroom feel dreamy and calm, a starry sky turns a main bedroom into a stargazing retreat, and a bright blue sky can make a windowless passage or bathroom feel open. Ceilings are trickier to hang than walls, so plan for two people, a sturdy platform and a little patience; Peel & Stick is repositionable, which helps you line up each panel. Many designs can be printed as a single image sized to your space. Check the scale in our visualiser. Read our wallpaper application guide before you start, or pair your ceiling with bedroom wallpaper below.

Can you put wallpaper on a ceiling?

Yes. Ceilings take wallpaper well, provided the surface is smooth, clean and sound. Allow extra time, work with a helper and use a stable platform, as working overhead is more tiring than hanging on a wall.

Is Peel & Stick or Traditional better for a ceiling?

Both can work. Peel & Stick is repositionable, which makes lining up panels overhead easier and suits renters. Traditional paste-the-wall gives a long-term bond and is the better choice for bathroom ceilings with steam, alongside good ventilation.

Which rooms suit a sky or cloud ceiling?

Nurseries and kids' bedrooms are popular choices, as are main bedrooms with a starry-night design. A bright sky ceiling also lifts windowless spaces like passages, dressing rooms and small bathrooms.

Do I need to remove light fittings before wallpapering a ceiling?

Switch off the power at the distribution board and loosen or remove fitting covers so you can trim neatly around them. If you're unsure, ask an electrician to help with any light fittings.
