Description
Traditional fleur-de-lis damask rendered in soft cream against a gentle dove grey background — Simé Olasay brings French château elegance to South African interiors without the visual weight of typical damask wallpaper. The ornate motifs are framed by flowing curved lines that soften the formality, making this pattern more liveable than most traditional damasks. It works beautifully in formal dining rooms, Victorian hallways in older Cape Town homes, powder rooms that want a touch of sophistication, and surprisingly well in nurseries where the soft palette reads gentle rather than grand. The medium-scale repeat holds its own on feature walls but won’t dominate smaller rooms. The grey-cream palette also complements both warm yellowwood floors and cooler concrete finishes common in SA homes. Designed and printed in our Johannesburg studio on 50cm panels. Pick a format that fits your install: Peel & Stick Smooth Matte, KOZO, or Artex Canvas Texture for removability; DuraMatte Fabric for plaster; or Traditional Non-Woven if you prefer paste-the-wall. Free South African delivery on orders over R1,000.
