The repeat shows hummingbirds in flight and at rest among citrus branches, with lemons, blossom and leaves rendered in fine pen-and-ink style linework. It reads as a single continuous botanical scene rather than a scattered print, so the birds and fruit line up naturally as panels meet on the wall.
