The design sits on a soft white ground with two tones of blue: a mid periwinkle and a deeper indigo running through the stripes. Blues like these are among the easiest colours to live with in a bedroom, since they settle the eye rather than energising it, which is why the room tends to feel calmer with it on the wall than lively.
