The design sits in warm red, orange and yellow on a white background. These are advancing colours, meaning the wall will feel closer and more present in the room than a cool shade would. Because of this, it works best carried on one wall rather than right around a room, with the red or orange picked up again in a cushion or a chair.
It reads as a hybrid: the overall shapes are stylised sunflower-like blooms, but each one is built from fine geometric rays and a ring of dotted detail at the centre, closer to a classic African wax print than a soft botanical print.
