The feathers sit in dusty blush and soft pink against a charcoal background. Because the ground is dark, the pink reads warm rather than sweet, and the depth of the charcoal means the wall won't compete with a wooden floor or dark furniture – it simply recedes behind them.
The largest feathers reach a few hundred millimetres across, drifting at different angles down the scene, while finer plumes and wisps fill the spaces between them. On a full wall this variation in size keeps the eye moving, so it reads as a single falling moment rather than a tight, repeating pattern.
The charcoal background makes the wall itself quite dark, so it works best where there's enough natural or lamp light to pick out the blush feathers and stop the wall from disappearing into shadow.
