The design moves between a soft lilac-white, a muted jade green and fine threads of plum. None of these are loud on their own, which is why the overall effect reads gentle rather than busy. Pulling the jade or plum into cushions or a throw on a nearby sofa echoes the wall without overmatching it.
Because the palette is pale and cool overall, it tends to recede rather than close in a wall, which suits rooms that already feel tight. The green passage anchors one side without weighing the whole scene down, so the wall still reads open and airy from across the room.
Its calm, washed quality works in either, but the scale and the way it softens under low light make it particularly suited to a bedroom wall facing the bed. In a living room it still works well behind a sofa, just read a touch cooler under evening lighting.
Expect the lilac and jade to read a little deeper and more saturated once they cover a full wall, since a large surface reflects its own colour back into the room. A small swatch always looks milder than the finished wall, so judge the intensity with that in mind rather than from the image alone.
A full wall is generally a two-person job, since large panels need to be aligned and smoothed together before the material sets. If you're only papering a smaller accent section rather than floor to ceiling, one person can usually manage it alone.
