Description
Loose, hand-painted chevron stripes cascade down the wall in coral pink, powder blue, navy and warm cream — Picnic Gouache Chevrons captures the irregular, slightly imperfect quality of real brushwork rather than crisp geometric lines. The gouache painting style means the edges are soft and the colour coverage varies slightly, which gives the pattern a relaxed, almost vintage picnic-blanket feel. It works particularly well in children’s rooms, guest bedrooms, powder rooms and coastal cottages around the Western Cape where the pink-and-blue palette echoes seaside weatherboard houses. The medium-scale chevrons are bold enough to anchor a feature wall but not so large they overwhelm smaller Johannesburg townhouse rooms. The warm undertones also prevent the cooler blues from going stark in north-facing spaces. Three formats: Peel & Stick in Smooth Matte, KOZO (textured natural-paper feel) or Artex Canvas Texture (woven-cloth look) — all renter-friendly, removable. DuraMatte Fabric for plaster walls. Or Traditional Non-Woven paste-the-wall. Printed to order in our Johannesburg studio on 50cm panels, free SA delivery over R1,000.
