Description
Black damask flourishes trail across a pale grey ground in Olasay — a traditional pattern that manages to feel genteel without tipping into grandmother territory. The fleur-de-lis motifs are scaled generously but not heavily, with enough breathing room between repeats to keep the wall from feeling busy. The soft grey background keeps the contrast civilised rather than stark, which makes it easier to live with than pure black-on-white damask. It suits formal dining rooms, traditional lounges with dark wood furniture, powder rooms that want a bit of ceremony, and feature walls in older Johannesburg homes with high ceilings and original cornicing. The medium-scale pattern also works well in hallways and entrance areas where you want pattern without overwhelming narrow spaces. Choose your install method: Peel & Stick (Smooth Matte / KOZO / Artex Canvas) for renter-friendly removability, DuraMatte Fabric for plaster, or Traditional Non-Woven for paste-the-wall. Each design is printed locally in our Johannesburg studio on 50cm panels. Free delivery anywhere in South Africa on orders over R1,000.
